Fox 45 has reported that 29-year old Erika Brannock, a Towson pre-school teacher, was seriously injured during the Boston Marathon bombings on Monday. She was cheering on her mother at the finish line. Brannock’s sister and brother-in-law were also injured.
It is easy for us to think that we will not be affected by the stories about bombings, shootings and tragedies in other states because of where they take place. However, we must remember that “the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). We are not excluded from any danger. However, we know that God can and will protect us. Keep the victims of the Boston Marathon explosions and their families in your prayers. Remember, we must be sober and vigilant.
